Exhibit Booth Design

Our specialty is custom exhibit design. Attracting and engaging your visitors with a meaningful brand experience is our passion and promise.

Knowing exactly what your trade show booth design will look like once it is built and installed is imperative. IGE designers apply their many years of experience using state-of-the-art tools to provide you with the perspective needed to understand how the final structure will appear.

Exhibit Design to Reality
One-of-a-Kind

Our clients come to us inspired by numerous designs, materials and layouts. Each has different goals to reach and various budgets to work with. To develop a unique exhibit design, our team starts from scratch, beginning with an informal meet and greet. We want to know everything about your brand, its history, mission and vision for the future. What do you hope to achieve by attending a particular event? A client who plans on attending a trade show event to showcase a new product will require a different type of booth than a client interested in increasing sales.

It’s equally important that we learn about your audience. Who buys your products and uses your services? What interests do they have? What problems are you trying to solve? The more we know about your customers, the better we can consider the visitor experience. Your exhibit may look great, but if it’s not attracting your audience and encouraging them to stay, it’s not doing its job.

Necessary Specifications

Once we have a better idea of who you are and who you are targeting, we can turn our attention to the details that affect the actual design. What type of look and feel are you going for? How often will the structure be used and in what type of events? What sort of elements will be needed? In addition to the basics (size, colors), what tone and message do you want to convey? What type of visitors do you want to attract and how do you want them to feel when they leave? Sometimes it can be difficult to communicate, but our design team understands this feedback and will ask the questions you might not know need to be addressed. This is how a truly custom exhibit comes to life.

With your budget in mind, we first consider the allotted space of your display and the visitor journey desired. We then integrate the right forms and determine the best materials to support the stand and messaging. Finally, our expert designers weave it all together to deliver a 3-D animation or rendering that accurately represents the finished structural concept.

Addressing Each Detail

Once our design team has a firm understanding of your business and customers, we can begin space planning, choosing materials, constructing the visitor experience and more. Our team comes together and records every idea we have. We don’t hold back – better to shoot for the moon and land among the stars! No matter how silly or impractical it may sound, we share everything during our brainstorming sessions. Eventually, things start coming together to form the foundation for your custom trade show booth design.

Here at IGE Group, we design to impress and wouldn’t have it any other way. To help clients see our vision, our team renders a 3-D design. In some cases, we develop an actual animation so clients can better visualize the attendee travel path and other details.  This offers clients a visual of what their exhibit will look like from top to bottom. Displaying this information in a 3-D format provides a true-to-life example of what to expect, eliminating misunderstandings. If there is something you don’t like, let us know and we’ll make it right.

3D Rendering

From Design to Reality

When the exhibit design has been approved by the client, our team rolls up its sleeves and begins the detailing process. What materials, tools and forms are needed? Will the layout be comfortable and accommodating for guests? What types of electricity and lighting are essential?

Detailing is a key part of building custom trade show displays because it forces our designers to go through every aspect before the physical work begins. All details are addressed and we make sure that we have the capabilities to execute lighting, electrical outlets, elevations, visual communications and more. If there is something that won’t work as it should, we’ll let you know right away so a proper substitute can be made.

In most cases, our design team is able to get the design to match exactly what was shown in the 3-D rendering. This process is just an extra step to ensure that we have all the right tools and equipment to achieve the design for your setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are custom trade show exhibits?
A custom trade show exhibit is a display booth designed and constructed from scratch. Conceived and built to include specifically desired elements and features, the structure is the sole property of the purchaser. It is stored when not in use, transported to and from events, and occasionally refurbished with updated graphics. The average owned custom exhibit lasts about 5 years.

Why should I choose a custom exhibit rather than a rental?
It isn’t an issue of one being better than the other, but more that each serves a different set of circumstances. Creating your own exhibit makes sense if trade shows are a significant component of your marketing strategy and your business will be exhibiting multiple times a year. If the shows you are attending are large, you want to make sure your booth attracts attention and has a better chance of standing out. Designing your own also ensures the display will meet all your needs, regardless of the event.

What are the benefits of designing and owning a custom trade show exhibit?
Because it is built specifically for your business, you have full control over how your brand image is presented.  Owning your own custom exhibit also means always knowing its dimensions, capabilities and limitations; there will never be unhappy surprises when you arrive at an event. Feeling comfortable and confident when attending a trade show results in being able to focus on why you are there to begin with: networking, education, and actually building your business.

Is designing a custom exhibit expensive?
The design and build of an original, permanent structure can be a significant cost. The average lifespan of a trade show booth is about 5 years, so the investment should be determined by evaluating how often it will be used and at what kinds of events. If shows are few and smaller in size, it might be smarter to opt for a rental instead.

How long does it take to build a custom trade show exhibit?
Of course it varies depending on the size, but the general average is about 8 weeks. We request 2 weeks to design and 6 weeks to build.

How do I care for my custom trade show exhibit?
After each use, inspect the structure inside and out before it is dismantled. Look for any tears in the fabric or potential issues beyond the usual gentle wear and tear. Relay concerns to your IGE Project Manager, who can help trouble-shoot any potential problems. A well-made exhibit shouldn’t require much maintenance if designed and built by a reputable team.

What if I don’t want to purchase an exhibit?
If you don’t expect the need to invest in a permanent structure but still want something tailored to your brand, we offer rental options that we can customize.
