For a second year, InterGlobal Exhibits Group designed and built a colossal exhibit for Mobily at GITEX in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia measuring a massive 59mX24m.
This year, Mobily wanted to demonstrate diversification and convergence of technology. They hoped that different areas under one Mobily brand would communicate their various product offerings and price structures. They wanted to make sure the exhibit beat all expectations from the bar that the 2009 exhibit raised.
The elaborate design rivaled the construction of a high-end retail environment, but was engineered for a temporary trade show floor. Great attention to detail was paid to each architectural element with blueprint review occurring each day across multiple time zones.
Furnishings you might expect to see in a hospitality setting were used throughout the exhibit, including wenge wood and silver laminate flooring. Carbon fiber laminate was also introduced into the Raqi area of the exhibit for the construction of the plasma back wall panels, round demo tables, the office desk and side tables. Laser reflecting mirrors were used on the entertainment stage along with a hologram truss. And, many building and furnishing materials commonly found in Saudi Arabia were sourced locally.
After months of construction and round-the-clock labor shifts, the exhibit was ready for show open and Mobily was extremely pleased to wow their audience with continued product and service innovation set in an environment appropriate for their cutting-edge, sophisticated brand.
