06/2010 ECHOSTAR CONNECTED AT NAB

A month before the NAB show, EchoStar Technologies made a decision to bring a new exhibit property to the show floor. Sharing a property with another division, they were running into scheduling difficulties and the ability to customize to their brand.

IGE Group quickly got wired into EchoStar Technologies needs making sure all the exhibit components their sales team desired fit into a 20X30 or a 20X20 configuration. EchoStar needed to demonstrate their satellite operations at each show, which required a satellite dish on the convention center roof followed by a lot of cabling.

To ensure all technologies were integrated and operational cabling changes would often occur during and after booth construction, so cabling under the carpet or under the property was not an option, but it still needed to be hidden. IGE Group engineered cabling tracks that allowed cables to be easily rerun if needed and did not disrupt the exhibit design or visitor experience.

In the meeting room, IGE Group used laminated white board material for one wall. The sales team appreciated its dual use and the creativity it brought into their customer meetings.

Having their own property, EchoStar could design an exhibit spotlighting their products at five shows a year but flexible enough to alter graphics to change brands from show to show. The sales team was very pleased with new property as they were able to connect their message of “Entertainment: Anytime. Anywhere” to their market.
